LAURA ENGELHARDT was born in Bremen, Germany. She studied Architecture in London/Stuttgart and Fine Arts in Berlin. She finished her film studies at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne in 2022 and is co-founder of Filmbetrieb.
FLORIAN DEDEK was born in Duisburg, Germany. Studied Fine Arts – Painting and Sculpture in Leipzig and Film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne. He is co-founder of Filmbetrieb.
Filmbetrieb is a young independent film production company based in Germany, founded by Florian Dedek and Laura Engelhardt.
We aim to create auteur-driven films that are both artistically distinctive and socially engaged. The company will focus on fiction features and documentaries as well as projects with international co-production potential. We are committed to discovering new voices and fostering collaborations that bring personal and previously underrepresented perspectives to the screen. We strive to highlight urgent social issues that resonate closely with the authors.
